All orders are shipped directly from the United Kingdom.
Your order may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. The general amount for the duties and taxes fee is about 20% of the dollar amount of the merchandise. However, this is just a general guideline and may vary depending on the country to which the order was shipped. You should contact your customs office for specific amounts and percentages.
Tapferkeit cannot control and is not responsible for any duties/taxes applied to your package. You will be responsible for paying additional charges for customs clearance. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; please contact your local customs office for further information. Note, in rare occasions custom agents may delay delivery of some packages.
HOW ARE TAXES AND DUTIES CALCULATED?
For Duties Delivered Paid (DDP) Orders: Duties and taxes may be included in the price depending on ship to country. This will be shown on the checkout page if taxes are included in the order price.
For Duties Delivered Unpaid (DDU) Orders: As the customer, you are liable for all import duties, customs and taxes levied. Payment of these is required to release your order from customs on arrival.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I REFUSE THE PARCEL AT CUSTOMS?
If you choose to refuse the customs fee and the parcel is returned back to Tapferkeit, a shipping & handling fee may be deducted from your refund up to £15.00.

WHAT TYPE OF MOVEMENT IS USED?
Every detail is important to us, that's why we use the Japanese Miyota 2115 Precision Quartz Movement for the classic legacy piece, which is one of the best known in the watch industry.
The Freiheit Automatic is powered by the Miyota 8215 Automatic movement due to its traditional, reliable and popular reputation. Powered by 21 jewels, it has a 42-hour power reserve. The movement offers an accuracy of -20 / +40 sec per day.
ARE THE WATCHES WATERPROOF?
All watches that we offer, have a water resistance of 5 ATM (50 metres) and can withstand a brief submersion under water (i.e. hand washing), but should not be taken swimming or bathing. Please remember that water damage is NOT covered under warranty.
WHAT TYPE OF LEATHER IS USED?
Our leather straps are made of genuine cow-hide leather and our metal straps are made from stainless steel Milanese mesh.
WHAT IS THE GLASS MADE OF?
We use a deep domed sapphire glass for our classic watches which offers impeccable protection and scratch resistance.
Our Freiheit watch uses a deep double domed hardened mineral glass which creates an open space for our dial.
WHAT MATERIAL IS THE WATCH CASE MADE FROM?
Our watches are made from surgical grade 316L stainless steel.
DO YOU OFFER WARRANTY?
Tapferkeit has a limited warranty that covers manufacturer's defects for two years after the original purchase date from an authorized dealer. If the watch parts or mechanics don't work properly, and it's our fault, we will repair or replace your product for free. However, this does not cover any abuse you might put your watch through on your own. The warranty does not cover water damage, normal wear and tear, batteries, accidental glass damage, scratches, strap damage, or theft. Proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims and service requests, so please keep your receipt. If you've purchased from our site or Amazon, the order number will suffice; otherwise you will need to send us a copy of the receipt from an authorized Tapferkeit dealer.
WHAT TYPE OF BATTERY IS USED?
The batteries for our Classic series use the SONY SR626SW.
HOW DO I CHANGE MY BATTERY?
All of our watch batteries can be found at any electronic store, as well as most watch repair or jewellery shops. Any watch repair shop or Jeweller should be able to assist you with the battery replacement. We don't suggest replacing the battery, as it requires some special tools and you could damage the watch.

If you need to change or cancel your order, please contact us immediately with your order number. If you contact us 24 hours after your order has been placed, we will be unable to make any changes to the order. This is because the request would have been processed by our warehouse and prepared for shipment.
MY ORDER SAYS 'UNFULFILLED'. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
'Unfulfilled' means that we have your order and we are in the process of getting your new watch shipped! Once we have shipped your order you will be notified via email along with your tracking reference (If applicable).
WHY WAS MY ORDER CANCELLED?
If your order was unexpectedly cancelled, chances are that our fraud filter marked your order as fraudulent. If you are certain that that is not true, please order again with a Paypal account. If you do not have Paypal, you can easily sign up at www.Paypal.com

If you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase, you can return it to us within 14 days of receiving your order. Please note that items returned within 14 days can be refunded to the original payment source.
1. Your items are unworn, undamaged, in re-sellable condition, (i.e. no creases on band), and in their original packaging.
2. Your return request is submitted within 14 days of receiving your original order.
